Coal Ash: A Moral Catastrophe Webinar

October 10, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Every year the United States produces 110 million tons of coal ash from coal plants. This toxic byproduct can poison the drinking water for an entire community, and not all communities are treated equally. Seventy percent of coal ash dumps are located in low-income communities. Join William Barber III from the Climate Reality Project, Lisa Evans from Earthjustice, and Susannah Tuttle from NC Interfaith Power & Light as we learn more about this toxic catastrophe and what faith communities can do about it.

As part of an ongoing series called Creation Justice Webinars, this event is co-hosted by the Rev. Dr. Brooks Berndt of the United Church of Christ Environmental Justice Ministry and the Rev. Michael Malcom of Alabama Interfaith Power & Light.

Sign-up now to join the webinar! Even if you can’t make the actual webinar, still sign-up, and we will send you a recording of it.
