Durham/Chapel Hill Earth Sabbath Celebration

This month’s theme will be a Mother’s Day for the Earth.

Take part in a ritual giving back to Mother Earth. Melissa Nelson, professor of American Indian Studies of San Francisco State University, compares such celebrations to “renewing your marriage vows, if you will, to your ecosystem.”

You are invited to bring a handful of soil or some water. Or come just as you are, and we will have plenty to share.
