Earth Sabbath Celebration

Please join us at the Unitarian Coastal Fellowship on Sunday January 24 at 10:30AM for an earth-centered worship service called an “Earth Sabbath Celebration.” Come and experience the deep concerns as well as the joys and hopes we have as we face the realities of climate change in the world today. Our guest speaker, Rev. Steve Halsted has developed this type of service to raise awareness and bring healing within faith communities around the challenges of mitigating the effects of global climate change. The service will focus on the eco-spirituality teachings of Thomas Berry, the Environmental Encyclical of Pope Francis, and the recent Paris Summit on Climate Change signed onto by nearly 200 nations.

The service will be followed by a vegetarian potluck open to the community.
