Faith and Climate Change: Seeking Health and Wholeness

June 11, 2014 @ 6:15 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

In the past few weeks we are seeing unprecedented coverage surrounding the issues of climate change. Now is the perfect opportunity for faith communities to begin a much needed dialogue on what needs to be done. This program will address the connection between faith and science through a panel discussion entitled Faith and Climate Change: Seeking Health and Wholeness. Three members involved in N.C. Interfaith Power and Light will share how their faith informs their commitments to our planet’s health. Susannah Tuttle, Director of NCIPL (a program of the N.C. Council of Churches); Steve Jurovics, who worships at Yavneh: A Jewish Renewal Community; and Carl Sigel, member of Church of the Nativity (Episcopal) will discuss how they merge faith and science in working to counter climate change that threatens us and future generations.

We hope you will join us for fellowship and this important discussion about how we can support and protect our planet and all its inhabitants.
