Lake Chatuge GreenFaith Team Meeting

On July 28, the LCGFT will tour the new Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Hayesville to see what they have done to change a huge metal retail space into an energy efficient beautiful place of worship. Helped by an energy audit from NCIPL, Ron Guggisberg, chair of the IHM building committee, led the way in renovating this former power boat store, thus saving energy just by not requiring the use of new resources to meet the congregation’s needs. Brad Rouse will also report on the session he had with national legislators as part of the Climate Lobby effort and explain how the fee and dividend act they are supporting will be a major contributor to reducing fossil use.
