Laudato Si’ – On Care For our Common Home

February 12, 2016 @ 1:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Join us on Friday, Feb. 12, from either 1 to 2:30pm or 7 to 8:30pm (same presentation given twice) in the Social Hall of St. Eugene for an overview of Pope Francis’ papal encyclical, Laudato Si’ – On Care For Our Common Home. Speaker, Dr. Catherine Wright, will discuss why Pope Francis wrote this encyclical and the idea that faith and science need to be in dialog. The purpose is to give participants an overview of the letter, to discuss how this document is a part of Catholic Social Teaching, and that we are the who that the letter is inviting to ecological conversion. Come learn what all the fuss and excitement is about. There will be a question/answer period following the presentation. For more information, please contact Cynthia Gibbs at 828-684-3555 or cynthia@gibbsco.com.
