North Carolina’s Energy Future

UNC’s Center for Climate, Energy, Environment and Economics is hosting a half-day seminar on North Carolina’s Energy Future. The seminar will provide an overview of state energy law and explore upcoming decision points that will affect the future of North Carolina’s electricity sector. The day will begin with an overview of the state’s ratemaking process and the agencies overseeing the state’s electricity sector. Afternoon sessions will focus on upcoming decision points that will affect the state’s energy mix and lessons that North Carolina can learn from other states.

Participants will come away from the day with a better understanding of electricity sector planning and the factors that will determine how the state’s electricity sector evolves in the coming decades. The seminar is free, but registration is required.
