Join Mom’s Clean Air Force and NC Interfaith Power & Light in Raleigh for a family-focused event highlighting our moral call to protect the health of our children and the environment. The first hour of the event will be spent in fellowship with food, games, activities, music, and advocacy opportunities for kids of all ages. At 6:30pm NC Council of Churches Executive Director, the Reverend Dr. Jennifer Copeland will lead the community in prayer in solidarity with vigils to take place in Washington D.C. and across the country the evening before the Pope will address the U.S. Congress. We will pray that our elected officials openly receive the message of the Pope’s encyclical “Praised Be: On the Care of Our Common Home” (Laudato Si’) and that they will be moved to address the issues and impacts of a changing climate as a moral imperative.
