Press Conference/Rally and Mining and Energy Commission Public Hearing

August 20, 2014 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

Free

Worried about how fracking could impact North Carolina? Opposed to how fracking could pollute our water, air and destroy our rural landscapes? Then show your opposition to fracking at the Mining and Energy Comission’s Raleigh public hearing and Frack Free NC’s pre-hearing rally on Wednesday, August 20th at 9:30 at the McKimmon Center on NC State’s campus.

The Frack-Free NC alliance is asking everyone who opposes fracking to come to our rally, and make a public comment at the hearings. This is going to be one of the biggest opportunities the public has to voice our concerns about fracking and protect our drinking water.

Please wear blue to symbolize your support for clean water, and get ready to speak your mind!

9:00am public comment sign up opens (If you want to speak at the hearing, show up early to sign up.)

9:30am-10:00am rally in front of the McKimmon Center

10:00am-2:00pm hearing (you do not need to stay for the entire hearing)
