“Reinventing Fire” Author Amory Lovins Speaking in Chapel Hill

Lovins is an American physicist who has devoted his knowledge to researching the nexus of energy, resources, economics, development, and security. In 1982, he cofounded Rocky Mountain Institute, a nonprofitthink tank that creates market-based solutions to aid businesses and institutions transition to renewable energy and efficient resource management tactics. Lovins is a world-renowned consultant on sustainable practices. The author of 31 books and over 480 papers, Lovins released his newest book, Reinventing Fire, in 2011. Lovins will discuss transforming global energy use to create a clean, prosperous, and secure energy future by reinventing fire – making the shift from fossil fuels to energy efficiency and renewables by 2050 or sooner.

This event is free of charge and open to the public, but seating is limited.
