Sacred Foodscapes: Faith & Ecology Forum
May 26, 2013 @ 9:15 am - 10:15 amFree
According to renowned eco-theologian Thomas Berry, foremost biologists of our time believe that the natural world is in decline. That does not bode well for your children and our grandchildren for sure. Beginning on Sunday, May 26, and extending through June 23, during the 9:15 AM adult Christian education hour, Environmental Stewardship at Nativity will present a five session forum called Faith and Ecology. In these sessions, we will discuss first what we know about how we are living in and affecting the natural world, and second, we will explore how we can apply the wisdom from both our faith and what we believe to be true from science to develop practical solutions for healing the Earth and building a more sustainable future. We are facing challenging problems, but we all can be part of solving them. After all, God through Christ has given us the ministry of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18).
This week’s session will focus on Sacred Foodscapes, NCIPL’s food-faith-climate change program. All are welcome to attend.
