Showing of “Shored Up” Documentary

UCF Green Sanctuary Committee and the Croatan Sierra Club present Ben Kalina’s award winning documentary ‘Shored Up’

Don’t miss the screening of ‘Shored Up’ – a documentary on coastal development in North Carolina and New Jersey following Hurricane Sandy. ‘Shored Up’ asks tough questions about our coastal communities and our relationship with the land. What will a rising sea do to our homes, our businesses, and the survival of our communities? Our development of the coastlines puts us in a tough predicament, and it’s time to start looking for real solutions.

The film begins at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public, but seating is limited, so come early.  Rudi Rudolph, Carteret County Shore Protection Manager, will be on hand to answer questions concerning local issues following the program.
