Solar Summit

This day-long conference is a gathering of all those interested in and enthusiastic about solar power. It is a joint effort of Environment North Carolina, the Sierra Club, NC Conservation Network, Greenpeace, and NCWARN as a resource for our members and our community.

The Summit has three main parts:

• Solar 101. This includes information for homeowners who want to put solar panels on their residences, business owners interested in commercial solar power, and those who want to learn more about community-wide initiatives to go solar.
• The Future of Solar. Featuring policy experts at the city, state, and federal levels, we’ll discuss the policy initiatives that have made our state a solar success, what innovative tactics have worked in cities across America, and what legislation we can look forward to in the future.
• Solar & Democracy. We’ll discuss what initiatives our organizations are working on in North Carolina, and hold a workshop on grassroots organizing tactics.
