First-ever Environmental Collaboratory of North Carolina UUs

October 8, 2016 @ 10:30 am - 4:00 pm

What: A gathering of UUs to collaborate on living the seventh Principle in our state

When: Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016, 10:30 – 4:00

Where: The Community Church of Chapel Hill Unitarian Universalist – 106 Purefoy Rd., Chapel Hill, NC 27514

Who: All interested members of UU congregations in North Carolina

Why: In an election year when the planet is on a precipice, the environment is barely mentioned by political candidates. Now is the time for faith communities to take action! Unitarian Universalists are a perfect group to help bring this issue forward because the seventh Principle is such a core part of our ideology. Many of us have been working on environmental issues in our own areas, but we have seldom joined forces. We feel it is time to do so — to share our successes, challenges and ideas, and to learn some new tools for effective, compassionate advocacy on the issues that matter.

Let’s gather in Chapel Hill for a day of connecting and collaborating around how to lift up the seventh Principle in our state.

Sincerely,
ECO Team
