Spiritual Reflections on Climate Change – a gathering inspired by Thomas Berry

November 8, 2015 @ 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Environmental Stewardship Greensboro (ESG) and the North Carolina Interfaith Power and Light (NCIPL) Leadership Council are hosting an open public meeting on Sunday afternoon to stimulate ideas for addressing climate change.

Inspired by the work of Thomas Berry – Greensboro native, deep ecologist and theologian, Elaine and Nelson Stover, Carolyn Toben, and Peggy Whalen-Levitt, past winners of the Greensboro Public Library’s Thomas Berry Award, will present responses to the question “What would Thomas Berry say about the climate crisis?”

Susannah Tuttle of NC Interfaith Power and Light (NCIPL) will talk about what congregations in North Carolina are doing to generate positive momentum for a successful World Climate Summit in Paris.

All people in Greensboro’s faith communities are invited to come to Haw River State Park for this lively discussion. ESG is welcoming the NCIPL Leadership Council with a reception following the meeting.
