Advocating with Compassion – free workshop!
April 27, 2014 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
NCIPL invites you to join us for a free faith community workshop on the moral call to be good stewards of Creation. We will explore what it means to be an advocate and why the faith voice is so valuable in public policy. Presentations will also include how the policy process works, the current political lay of the land in NC, pressing environmental issues before the NC General Assembly, and ways your community can make a difference.
Our presenters are:
- Ryke Longest, Director of the Environmental Law and Policy Clinic at Duke University School of Law
- June Blotnick, Executive Director, Clean Air Carolina
- Susannah Tuttle, Director, NC Interfaith Power & Light
Please join us for this workshop and discover ways your faith community can effectively call for change!
